The Research Team

Jo Armour Smith PT, PhD

Jo worked as a physical therapist in the United Kingdom and the USA for several years before getting her PhD at the University of Southern California. She is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Chapman University. Her research focuses on mechanisms underlying changes in motor control in response to pain, aging, and skill training. When not at work, Jo loves walking in the California hills and dabbles in Flamenco dance. She is also obsessed with dogs.
